Theatre camps for kids and teens! **Each camp needs a minimum of 4 students to happen. If a camp does not meet this required minimum, it will be canceled and another camp option of the similar price may be chosen to replace it.**
4-7 year Olds Teacher: Hope Edens
9-11 a.m.
Is your child obsessed with Spiderman, Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Black Widow? Do they dream of being a superhero? Here’s their chance to make-believe! Send them with their costumes and they will make-believe and rehearse a Marvel inspired play that will be performed on the last day of camp.
6-10 year Olds Teacher: Abby Westbrook
9-11 a.m.
For the Harry Potter lovers in your life! Campers get placed into one of the four “houses” (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin) and compete for the House Cup through a variety of artistic and imaginative challenges. Points are given throughout the days. Classes include improv games, practicing wand work, Patronus and Boggart puppet making and of course a little Qudditch.
14-18 year Olds Teacher: Aaron Ballard
1-4 p.m.
For the Harry Potter lovers in your life! Campers get placed into one of the four “houses” (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin) and compete for the House Cup through a variety of artistic and imaginative challenges. Points are given throughout the days. Classes include improv games, practicing wand work, Patronus and Boggart puppet making and of course a little Qudditch.
9-18 year Olds Teacher: Abby Westbrook

For our older Harry Potter fans, they get to experience working through scenes of the newest installment of the Harry Potter series HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD. Choosing scenes from both part 1 and part 2, they will get to work on characterization and rehearsing parts to perform for family and friends at the end of the week

Bring your tiaras girls! We’ll start the class each evening reading a not-so-spooky Disney story around our “campfire.” We will play fun improvisation games, make princess inspired crafts as well as rehearse songs and practice some dancing for the final day performance.
6-18 year Olds Teacher: Eryn Chickey-Tillery
1-4 p.m.
Musical theatre fans unite! We will be doing a wide variety of classic and contemporary musical theatre songs for this class and learn dances to each song and work on acting skills to learn what will make us all a Triple Threat! A performance will be done at the end of the week for family and friends.

We will be learning the basics of stage makeup application with REAL stage makeup kits. Each student will learn how to apply their own makeup, learn how to “age” themselves, learn about bruises and cuts, becoming an animal, and doing fantasy makeup. This class does cost extra for the cost of the makeup kit that will be ordered for each student and sign-ups a

Come be our guest as we bring musical theater alive with this Disney musical theater week. With a performance of combining songs, dialogue, acting and dancing, we will build a tale as old as time to perform on our final day to family and friends.

Slink or slide into our camp for those that love the Disney villains. With a performance of combining songs, dialogue, acting and dancing, we will create a story that will make people wriggle like a worm on a hook for our final day performance.

As soon as camp starts, we will have auditions for parts of a play that will be announced the day of class. The remainder of the week will be rehearsing the play, learning important drama knowledge and on Friday we will perform the show to the parents.

Intermediate improv-ers will make it up as they go and learn how to further their quick reactions with more difficult games and will perform an improv comedy show at the end of the week.

Does your child not get enough of Disney Jr. at home? Do they sing the opening number of MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE or “Blue Ribbon Bunny” from SOFIA THE FIRST on repeat? Then this is the class for them! We will sing popular Disney Jr. songs as well as make up fun dances! At the end of the week, they will perform their songs for their parents.

We will be looking at some popular fairy tales, like LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD, HAZEL AND GRETEL or RUMPLESTILTSKIN and practicing pieces to perform at the end of the week for their family. Each student will have a chance to be front and center as well as an ensemble member.

Is your teenager a fan of Lin-Manuel Miranda and his popular musical HAMILTON? This camp give them the chance to sing and perform songs from the Broadway play. Working on some hip-hop dancing, as well as dramatic movement, the students will practice several songs that will be performed at the end of the week for family and friends.
6-12 year Olds Teacher: TBA

For students whom aren’t as interested in participating ON the stage, technical theatre is a perfect place to still be a part of the world of drama. In this class, students will use more of the drawing aspect to create a set design for a show of their choice. They will then make a 3-d model to show the class what their imagination came up with.

If your child enjoys the Marvel universe, this camp is for them. With improvisation, and the knowledge they currently have about all things Marvel, they will have the opportunity to read portions of the One Act plays and rehearse scenes from these plays to perform at the end of the week.

This will be a time for those who have a recorder to continue their skills during this summer week. We will be practicing playing together in unison, as well as duets.
Ages 8-13 Teacher: Gloria Little
June 5 – 23 (Monday – Friday) 10-11 a.m.
Learn and practice cursive handwriting. Paper provided. Large Ticonderoga-sized pencil, or large triangular pencil, is required. Fountain pen is highly recommended, but optional. No regular-sized Number 2 pencils or ball-point pens.
Parents are welcome to attend (and participate if so desired) at no additional cost. No electronics of any kind will be allowed in the room during the hour the class is in session.
Eryn is the director of Encore Theatre Company at the Fine Arts Center of Easley and is our Camp Director for 2023!
Aaron is a multi-hyphenate actor, writer, producer, arts educator, and visual artist based in NYC and SC. She has appeared in numerous plays Off Broadway, Off Off Broadway, and Regional productions. She has also appeared on the network tv shows Law &Order: SVU and Little America, as well as a number of indie short films and features.
She is a proud member of SAG- AFTRA and AEA. She has an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University.
Gloria is a graduate of Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA, where she received a degree in theology. Gloria has taught pre-school and children's music classes for many years, utilizing the Hungarian (Kodaly) method, teaching folk songs, singing games and basic musicianship.
Abby Westbrook is a member of Encore Theatre Company at the Fine Arts Center of Easley.
